Celebration for the Completion of CREZ Connection

Key executives, government officials, suppliers, and construction companies joined together Tuesday, November 19, 2013, in Amarillo, Texas to celebrate the completion of the Competitive Renewable Energy Zone (CREZ) Connection.

This $7 billion project was completed in a relatively short time frame with the support of over 50 Texan counties. The project is a tremendous economic boost to western Texas which sells wind power from West Texas and the Panhandle to the rest of the state, creating $30 billion in economic gains, employing thousands, and bringing in almost $2 billion in additional state and local taxes.
