The OSHA Electrical Transmission and Distribution Strategic Partnership aligns OSHA with all PLH Group companies, including Power Line Services, and 12 other organizations under one common goal: to reduce injury, illness and death among linemen and other electrical workers.
The OSHA partnership includes 10 of the largest electrical transmission and distribution contractors in the nation, as well as the IBEW labor union, Edison Electric Institute (EEI) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), all working together to define and implement health and safety-related best practices and training.
Since the OSHA partnership was established in 2004, injury, illness and fatality rates among the partners’ nearly 26,000 workers has decreased noticeably. According to OSHA, fatalities among these workers dropped from 11 in 2004 to one in 2013.
