PLH Group Apprenticeship Program Gathers Steam: Meet Our Latest Graduate
November 30, 2015

Cameron Meyer joined Power Line Services shortly after graduating from the Northwest Lineman College (NLC) in California. Joining PLH Group was an easy decision for Cameron, he had met Matt Compher while at NLC and learned about the Apprenticeship Program newly established at PLH Group. This was exactly what he was looking for to further his career.
Due to the close relationship between NLC and PLH Group and their linemen training philosophies, Cameron was able to begin his Apprenticeship Program Training at a Level 2, because he had completed the Electrical Lineman Program with NLC. To become a Journeyman, he would only need to complete three more levels.
PLH Group was proud to award Cameron his Journeyman Certificate this past July, however due to his work commitment, he was not able to join the ceremonies. PLH Group Apprenticeship Coordinator Becky Pearson knows that celebrating such an accomplishment in person is always more meaningful and asked Cameron to take part in the Apprenticeship Week of activities the first part of November. Not only did Cameron officially receive his Certificates, he also represented PLH Group at the Denton Open House to talk to others about his experience and success. In addition, Cameron accepted an invitation to join the PLH Group Apprenticeship Committee as an Apprentice Representative.
“We are thrilled to have Cameron on our team and helping us at the corporate level. His experience at Northwest Lineman College and in the field for Power Line Services is valuable. Thank you Cameron for your contribution to our team,” said Matt Compher, SVP Safety, Health & Environmental.
